I was dubious about Major League Soccer (MLS) when it started; it didn't really seem legitimate to me.  After 14 years, producing many players who've gone to play in Europe, producing many players who contribute to the U.S. National team at the international level, building about 10 soccer specific stadiums, getting David Beckham, etc., MLS has become legitimate to me.  I want Detroit to get a professional soccer franchise.

I haven't played in an after-work, for-fun soccer game in many summers, and I miss it.
